Lori Greiner

Lori Greiner was a Chicago native who was born on the 9th of December 1969 on the Gold Coast. Greiner is the second child of an estate developer father and a psychotherapist mother. Her parents divorced when she was 9 years old.Greiner studied television, journalism, communication and film at Loyola University Chicago. She was also briefly a playwright and designer, where she also sold her own jewellery on the side.Greiner started her career by developing a plastic earring organizer with sliding rods that could neatly store 100 pairs of earrings. She created a prototype of the product that was purchased by J.C. Penney before the Christmas season. She claimed that "she never set out to be a serial inventor" but her success in the Home Shopping Network started her on that path. The following year she transitioned to QVC and in 2000 , she developed a range of new products. In 2012, Greiner was a part of the TV series Shark Tank. The investment she made in the company Scrub Daddy (a business that manufactures an elongated sponge with a unique texture) was a huge success two years after. In 2014, she had sold over 2 million of her products on QVC.Lori Lori
